Chocolate Bread Pudding

is there any comfort food as purely comforting as warm or cold, soft, chocolatey bread pudding? , on a Friday morning!

Preparation: 30 min

Serves: 9 to 10


Ingredients:

  • 1 Loaf of Challa Bread (1 pound loaf) cut into cubes or any stale bread
  • 1 1/2 cup of Heavy Cream
  • 2 1/2 cups of Milk
  • 1 tsp of Vanilla Extract
  • ½ cup of Sugar
  • 1/2 cup of Brown Sugar
  • 4 Tbsp of Cocoa Powder
  • ½ tsp of Cinnamon
  • 1 cup of Semisweet Chocolate Chips

METHOD:
    1) In a large bowl, whisk together all the ingredients except the challa bread, make sure you get a nice smooth mixture. 

    2) Add the bread cubes and set to make sure its coated in the custard, let it sit for about an hour. 

    3) Preheat the oven to 350 degrees, butter a large casserole dish with a bit of butter.

    4) Add the custard mixture to the buttered pan and bake for about an hour or until puffed and golden and set in the center.
